Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Division

The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Division conducts research in many practical and theoretical fields.

Strength of Materials

Other areas of emphasis in research include oscillation theory and its application in vibration and fault analysis of machinery and structures.

Emphasis has also been placed on technical design and genetic optimization. Research is also being done on prosthetic legs and their connections to the human body.

Statistics and Control systems

In the field of statistics, work has mainly been done on various types of data processing and model development of various systems.

Furthermore, methods have been developed to assess the use of tap water in district heating systems based on measurements of total water consumption, to monitor flow meters based on the measurements they give and how precipitation in heat exchangers can be monitored.
