About the research
Methods will be developed to enable robots to arrange objects automatically in regular, orderly, and even „aesthetic“ patterns. Limited research or development is found in this field, which spans robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence. The project may be considered novel and it contains substantial innovation.
The project has several areas of application, particularly in food processing where the introduction of robotics and automation is increasing and it is important to arrange food materials into processing equipment and deliver items into batches in a way that appears appealing towards consumers. A university and a private company propose this work jointly, which is for a period of two years and will be material for MS and PhD projects.
